A beautiful, original, low, solid wood Chinese coffee table, often called a Kang table (Kang zhuo). This type of table was traditionally used in Northern China, placed on or in front of a kang (a raised, heated platform used for sitting, working, and sleeping). These tables are traditionally made with mortise and tenon joints, without screws or modern fasteners. It has a beautiful patina and weathered appearance, making it a truly valuable addition.
