Beautiful, unique, old clay basket with lid. These unique, authentic clay jars originate from China. These old wicker baskets with clay are also called fishermen's baskets. The fish they caught were stored in these baskets. Because of the narrow neck, the fish couldn't escape. Some also had a lid. Each piece has its own unique look. The baskets are very weathered, but that makes them truly unique and all the more beautiful, in my opinion. In the fall, they can be beautifully styled with wild asparagus or rosehips.
